I found it interesting that Cambridge Springs High School has its very own podcast, coordinated by business/computer teacher Vickie Schultz. The podcasts feature students telling stories (tasteful of course) and interviewing teachers and fellow students. It's good experience for the students (assuming they're doing some of the production work too and not just the "talent" portion), and it's a nice way for the community to get some sense of what's going on at the school. It would be especially nice if it became interdisciplinary—the American cultures (aka social studies) teachers could have students do a podcast on the Pennsylvania primaries, etc.
But even if that doesn't happen, it's still a good resource.
One suggestion for Mrs. Schultz: submit your podcast to iTunes (details here) and share it with the world.

Hello. I am Mrs. Schultz. Thanks for the kudos on your site. I did one podcast last year w/the seniors and I am incorporating it into my software integration class this year. I was hoping it would go well. I have subscribed to my blog in i-tunes but wanted to get my feet wet before I put it all out there. We are having some trouble with the podcasts buffering so maybe for next year we will put them all in i-tunes. Thanks for the link! I also have some new ideas for next year for students to incorporate some topics of interest from their core classes or to create casts that have a meaning (such as don't dring and drive or please recycle) I also am in the porcess of creating some videocasts with the students. I am having trouble with our system loading the onto the blog. Hopefully they will be there for you to enjoy in the near future. Who are you?
